Motorcycling, My Jiu-Jitsu Hiatus, Failing at Blogging
We're all looking for purpose in our lives. I have a feeling motorcycling will play a part in mine. I'm also taking a break from Jiu-Jitsu and trying not to fail at blogging.
To start, I’d like to let you know that each newsletter will now include three posts instead of five. Including five titles and descriptions in the header felt cumbersome, and three is so much easier to manage. Just saying it makes me feel better already.
On to this week’s posts…
First, I’d like to share a small revelation I’ve had; one that revolves around motorcycling and discovering a deeper, more intense spirit in life. Next, I’ll discuss my decision to take some time off from practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve been considering it for a while, and the time has finally come. Lastly, since blogging is my thing, I’ll share some thoughts on how to avoid messing it all up. Enjoy this week’s posts!

Touring the Lake District by Motorcycle
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that every life deserves a sense of purpose. Without it, people drift from one thing to the next and rarely accomplish anything truly meaningful. For many, motorcycling provides that purpose, and in this post, I share one gentleman’s story of how he discovered his.
My Jiu-Jitsu Hiatus
All good things must come to an end, and perhaps one of my weekly routines will be among them. I have no intention of giving up Jiu-Jitsu. I love it far too much, but I think teaching it in a classroom setting may be better left to others. After seven years, I’ve finally run out of things to teach. If I really put my mind to it though, I’m sure I could come up with something new. You see? I’m already planning my return. That didn’t take long. Click through to read my story.
The One Surefire Way to Fail at Blogging
Blogging is much more challenging than most people realize. The writing itself isn’t the hard part; it’s everything else that can get in the way: coming up with ideas, maintaining quality, and staying consistent, with consistency being the most important of all. Bloggers rise and fall, and if I had to guess, I’d say that lack of consistency is the primary reason most fail. Like so many areas of life, the key to success is showing up day after day, week after week, and sticking with it.
