Hello There!

Hi! My name is Jay Gaulard. I’m an amateur photographer, somewhat skilled chef, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt, and a traveler around the state of Maine and greater New England. My goal is to find interesting places and things and bring my findings back to you.

I’m truly glad you’ve decided to visit my newsletter and I’m excited for you to read my posts. If you decide to subscribe, you’ll begin receiving updates that are sent directly to your inbox. You may also visit my newsletter homepage and read my archives as well as other posts as they’re published. There, you may manage your newsletter preferences as well.

Again, thank you for visiting. Your support is so very much appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you!

What I Write About

I write about a lot of things, from traveling around Maine to hiking my area’s best trails, to how to make the best lentil soup you’ve ever tasted. My writing is varied and distributed across many areas of interest. For an in-depth look, please check out my archives. You’ll find lots of goings-on, personal reflections, as well as tons of great information about New England at large. It’s actually pretty tough to tell you exactly what I write about because I have so many interests, but again, if you take a look at my posts, you’ll get a clearer picture.

For instance, who ever thought I’d still be climbing trees?

Now that we’re caught up, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment in one of my posts. That’s always appreciated.

What You Can Expect From Me

My Thanks:
I can write a lot. My posts can be long. The mere fact that you’re interested in reading them is a HUGE deal to me. In a day and age when people change activities from one moment to another, the fact that you plan to sit and read something I’ve written means a lot. So thank you.

The Real Deal:
When I write things, I try not to offend anyone. I do my best at being polite and to avoid ruffling feathers. That’s not to say I won’t tell you what’s on my mind though. I can’t tell you exactly where this type of thing will occur, but you’ll certainly know it when you see it. Beyond that, I’ll do my best at giving you the truth and how I feel about what I’ve experienced - in an introspective sort of way. These are actually my favorite moments when writing.

Effort:
I put a lot of effort into my posts. If you look through my archives, I think you’ll see that. I work hard to entertain you, inform you, and to engage with you. If you have questions, please leave a comment. I’ll do my best to answer any and all I receive.

Things You’ll Want To Know

After you subscribe, my most recent posts will be sent directly to your email, but at any time, if you wish to read anything I’ve written in the past, you can do so by visiting the archives.

If, for some reason, you’re not receiving my posts in your email box, please check your spam folder. If they’re being delivered there, please mark the sending address as not spam. If you can’t find my posts in your spam folder, you might want to check under your Promotions tab.

Again, thank you and if you wouldn’t mind, please tell all of your friends (and anyone else you happen to meet) about my newsletter. The more readers I have, the faster and better I’ll grow.

Sincerely,
Jay Gaulard

People

I'm interested in many things. My loves: writing short stories, photography, cooking, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, of which I teach as a blackbelt in Maine. That's where I live - in Maine. Where the people are beautiful and the spirits are high.
